Gangdong-gu launching ‘Chilling Camp,’ a bean bag cinema

- Gangdong-gu Life and Cultural Center Yegam to provide a cultural program for residents

- A therapy program to help them recover mental health by alleviating the negative effects of emotional labor and stress

- Inviting 25 people per session; set up a movie-themed photo zone


Gangdong-gu (Head Lee Soo-hee) announced that it will launch a “chilling camp,” a bean bag cinema at Gangdong-gu Life and Cultural Center Yegam starting from August 8 to 27 at 7:30 p.m.


As “chilling” is an expression of “having a relaxing time,” Gangdong-gu has arranged a chilling camp with a purpose to present a relaxing moment to residents in breaking away from their busy lives. In this event, people can relax while enjoying a cultural movie.


A total of eight movies are going to be screened including Big Eyes, Midnight in Paris, Whiplash, and Sing Street. Photo zones themed around respective movie will be set up.


In each session, a total of 25 people will be invited on a first-come, first-served basis with 10 bean bag seats and 15 regular seats. The application can be submitted via Gangdonggu Life and Cultural Center Yegam (https://gdyegam.modoo.at/) or making a phone call (☎+82-70-4127-0654). Residents can enjoy on a free-of-charge.


 An official from Gandong-gu said, “This program is meaningful in that it screens various art films on the theme of relaxing and a break at Yegam, the life and cultural center for residents. We will do our best to improve residents’ access to culture and arts by launching unique cultural programs.”
