The Gandgong-gu Public Haegong Daycare Center, located in Gangdong-gu (Mayor Lee Jung-hun), Seoul, was given an "A for Excellence" in the 2019 Regular Evaluation of Long-term Care Insurance conducted by the National Health Insurance Service.

This evaluation was conducted for 5,974 long-term care institutions sanctioned by the National Health Insurance Service in the areas of ▲institutional operation, ▲environment and safety, ▲guarantee of rights for pensioners, ▲process of provision of allowances, ▲result of provision of allowances, and the overall services and operational systems of 24-hour care facilities.

The Gandgong-gu Public Haegong Daycare Center received a high evaluation score of 96.18 and received an "A" for excellence. The center also received an "A" in the 2014 and 2016 evaluations and has maintained the highest grade for three consecutive evaluations over six years.

Director Jeon Ah-mi of the daycare center commented, “We are thrilled to learn that our efforts in continuously providing systematic medical care allowance services for elders and offering custom care services through active consultations with both elders and guardians have produced such positive results.”

Mayor Lee Jung-hun stated, “The need for long-term care institutions is growing along with the rising senior population. The district will continue to offer support for a variety of high-quality services for elders to enjoy happier later years.”

The Gangdong-gu Public Haegong Daycare Center is under commissioned operation by Korea Welfare Services. The center is a 24-hour care facility that lessens the burden on families that support elders with senile diseases and poor health in addition to offering high-quality services and dementia prevention programs for elders.
