‘Seung-ryong’s house’ opens on February 8th at 3 pm on Kang Full Cartoon Street in Gangdong-gu. The first floor will be a café, the second floor will be a library, and the third floor will be a workroom for young artists.

  ‘Seung-ryong’s house’ is a local community facility named after the main character, Seung-ryong, of Kang Full’s webtoon, "Fool". Kang Full Cartoon Street where ‘Seung-ryong’s house’ is located is one of the popular tourist attractions of Gangdong-gu recreated by Gangdong-gu residents, government employees, volunteers, artists, and a popular webtoonist, Kang Full, together with 52 scenes of Kang Full’s webtoons in 2013.

  The cartoon street begins from a narrow alley that you can find after going straight about 150m from Exit 4 of Gangdong Station, subway line 5. The wall paintings on the entrance of the street, telephone poles, and retaining walls naturally blend with Seonganmaeul and will warm your heart when you see them. As the street attracted tourists, it also revitalized the surrounding area.

  ‘Seung-ryong’s house’ is located at the end of Kang Full Cartoon Street. Seung-ryong welcomes visitors at the entrance of the building. At ‘Café Fool’ on the first floor, young entrepreneurs who have the experience of working as a café manager or barista are the ones responsible for the taste of coffee. They are planning to offer special menu items including hand drip coffee made of coffee beans ground with a millstone. Gangdong-gu plans to operate this place as a place where the residents can participate to provide mentoring services for youth and use for study groups.

  The ‘library’ on the second floor provides various comic books including webtoons, old comic books, and graphic novels. Anyone can read the books free of charge. Starting from March, artists of the house will also give ‘cartoon classes.’ The ‘workroom’ on the third floor will be used by four young artists to concentrate on their creative works and pursue their dreams of becoming a webtoonist.
