Subject | Dunchon-dong, the pride of Gangdong-gu | ||
There are many villages in Gangdong-gu. Today's point is Dunchon-dong. Befor the introduction, the origin of Dunchon-dong is that the pen name of the great scholar ‘Yi Jip’ remains as the name of the village. So, in Dunchon-dong, there is a monument containing the words of him. First, there is a mountain in Dunchon-dong. The mountain is called 'Iljasan', and it is located behind the VHS Medical Center, Veterans Health Service Medical Center. It's a place where people in the neighborhood can exercise easily, and the air is good and the roads are well-made, so it's a place that people enjoy. And there's a small park called Iljasan Grass Square connected to it. It is equipped with an exercise center and an outdoor inline lawn plaza, and it is a park where children and the elderly can enjoy. These places are responsible for the nature of Dunchon-dong. Third, there is VHS Medical Center station on Line 9 in Dunchon-dong. Completed on December 1, 2018, VHS Medical Center Station connects Dunchon-dong to Gimpo Airport. Thanks to this subway station on Line 9, it has been connected to stations that were previously difficult to reach, making it easier for many people to move. There is also an express train, so people can move quickly. Finally, Dunchon Library is currently being established in Dunchon-dong. Public library, Dunchon Library, will be built through the residents' demand for the construction of cultural facilities. The library will be built under the theme of 'Healing Through Books.' Dunchon Library will be completed by the end of 2020. |
