Gangdong-gu Office Receives Honor of Being the Best Public Organization as a Result of the Comprehensive Assessment on Civil Service

- Gangdong-gu Office has acquired the top grade two consecutive years as a result of the comprehensive assessment on civil service, co-chaired by the Ministry of Interior and Safety and the Anti-Corruption & Civil Rights Commission

- After the evaluation of 306 public organizations nationwide, Gangdong-gu Office has ranked among the top 10 percent

 Gangdong-gu Office (head: Lee Soo-hee) has been selected as the best public administrative organization by acquiring the highest grade from the 'Comprehensive Assessment on Civil Service 2022.' Gangdong-gu Office has cherished the honor two years in a row from the assessment which was jointly managed by the Ministry of Interior and Safety and the Anti-Corruption & Civil Rights Commission.

 Subjects to the assessments are 306 public organizations nationwide – central government agencies, regional education offices, metropolitan cities and provinces, and local governments. The evaluation grades have been granted based on the ranking of comprehensive score through documentary assessments, satisfaction surveys, and on-the-spot inspections. The assessment has been conducted under the following main standards: three fields, i.e., civil administrative management, civil administrative activity, and civil complaints settlement, five items, and 19 indicators.

 In the meantime, Gangdong-gu Office has been doing its upmost to provide the best civil service in all fields to residents in the district. The office has achieved an honor of getting the top grade that falls under the top 10 percent among 306 organizations two consecutive years. For good measure, the office has achieved the highest grade on the fields of civil administrative strategy and system as well as settlement of civil petition for grievance.

 Gangdong-gu Office, in addition, has been highly recognized for actively pushing forward with a variety of life support services by building an infrastructure designed to help residents reflecting age group and its character. Examples of such infrastructure are as follows: implementation of traffic safety and protection project targeting children, construction of Gangdong 50-plus Center, expansion of child daycare facility called ‘Child-Mom Gangdong’, and enlargement of applicable recipients on safety insurance.
