Gangdong-gu (Mayor: Lee Hae-sik) recently refurnished the recycling center (930, Dongnam-ro, Gangdong-gu) and opened the secondhand brand special shop <Recycle Cash>. On the first floor are large home appliances and furniture (including office equipment) and on the second floor are secondhand designer goods, small home appliances, miscellaneous goods and goods for hobbies and exercise specializing in purchases and sales.

 The shop took into consideration the advantages and disadvantages of the existing online and offline secondhand transaction market to construct a transaction system through which citizens could safely and conveniently sell secondhand designer goods. Sellers can receive compensation of up to 70% of the selling price. Citizens can purchase necessary goods at inexpensive and reasonable prices.

 The ‘Gangdong-gu Recycling Center,’ which has been taking the lead in practicing resource conservation, environment protection and good consumption and sharing, is visited by over 30,000 individuals annually and is received positively by the local citizens.

  By bringing in items that one no longer uses, one can receive compensation at reasonable prices at the Gangdong-gu Recycling Center and can also purchase necessary items. To take part in recycling, citizens can visit the Gangdong-gu Recycling Center or make a request by phone (☎1588-8425).

Goods that can be reused are picked up and compensated for (some items might not be considered acceptable for compensation) in person by workers. Delivery will be available for the purchase of large items. Broken items can be repaired for free or exchanged within 3~6 months of purchase, and after the AS date, items can be repaired for a fee.
