On the 31st, Cheonho 2-dong, Gangdong-gu (Mayor Lee Jung hun), held an autumn package sharing event with the Cham Sarang Volunteer Association to deliver a warm meal to low-income single-person households.

The delivery event was organized by the Cham Sarang Volunteer Association to deliver warmth in autumn to single-person households tired of eating alone, and members gathered to deliver warm rice, pork ribs, side dishes, and homemade eco-friendly dishwashing pads, hand sanitizers, and masks.

The Chamsarang Volunteer Association (Chairman Park Yoon-hee) consists of 15 people, including office workers, housewives, and self-employed people, and has been volunteering at welfare centers, nursing homes, and churches for two years. In particular, since May this year, it has been participating as a volunteer in a single-person household project run by the Cheonho 2-dong Community Center and making warm lunch boxes on the last Sunday of every month and delivering them to 30 single-person households.

Park Yoon-hee, chairman of the Cham Sarang Volunteer Association, said, "I feel happy that my neighbors in need can laugh for a while sharing warmth together. I'm always grateful that all members can do this together," he said.

"Busy office workers and self-employed people who have become difficult due to COVID-19 are charging positive energy every month," said Bae Kyung-sook, head of Cheonho 2-dong. "We hope that despite weather getting chilly, we can help needy neighbors and the sharing temperature of Cheonho 2-dong will get a little warmer."

Meanwhile, Cheonho 2-dong, along with the Chamsarang Volunteer Association, will also push for a house repair project from next year, and the number of people eligible for the Chamsarang package containing warm lunch boxes will be expanded to 50 per month to continue specialized projects for single-person households.
