Subject Gangdong Children’s Family Festival Will Be Held

Gangdong-gu (mayor Lee Jung hun) announced the November 5th that it will promote the "Gangdong Children's Family Play Festival" in the open garden of Gangdong-gu Office on the 6th. According to Gangdong-gu, "This festival is designed to provide a variety of performance stages, fun games, and happy experiences to children and their families in Gangdong-gu with the hope of wisely overcoming the COVID-19 crisis and returning to a stable daily life."

In particular, the district will divide the festival into two sessions from 10:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 3:50 p.m. so that the festival can be safely enjoyed while following the COVID-19 quarantine guidelines. In each session, the number of people was limited to 99 family members (up to four per family), including infants and toddlers living in Gangdong-gu.

Under the festival slogan “Mandeul Go! Bo Go! Shinna Go!”, the district prepared a variety of programs for the whole family to experience and enjoy together, including △ Family Musical "Red Hat" △ Balloon Artist's Magic Show △ Exciting Bubble Concert △ Making Our Family’s Secret Hideout.

All festival programs will be broadcast live on the Gangdong Children's Center YouTube channel, and participation events such as quizzes will also be held on Youtube comments. Field programs can only be applied by pre-registration through the Gangdong Children's Center website, while participation of online programs is possible without a separate application.

Mayor Lee Jung hun said, "We have prepared this family festival so that children in Gangdong can enjoy play and experience freely in a safer environment in time for the transition of “with corona”.
