Subject 4 billion won in special adjustment grants, opening an access road to Amsa Green Road

Gangdong-gu (Lee Jung hun) has secured 4.05 billion won in special adjustment grants in the second half of Seoul to promote regional issues such as the Myogok Elementary School toilet improvement project, the opening of Amsa Green Road, and the installation of old reduction facilities at Cheonho Reservoir.

In August, the district applied for nine projects (worth 9 billion won) as projects subject to special adjustment grants in the second half of Seoul, and budgets were given first for three urgent projects, including the Myogokcho toilet improvement project.

The west bathroom of Myogok Elementary School has not been renovated for more than 16 years, and despite the toilets mainly used by students, many inconveniences such as odors have been raised, and the floors, walls, and entrances are likely to cause safety problems.

With the budget issued, environmental improvement work will be carried out during the winter vacation for a total of 10 toilets on the first to fifth floors of the west building, and students will be able to use bright and clean toilets next year.

Cheonho Reservoir Rainwater Pump Station (70 Seonsa-ro, Gangdong-gu) is feared to cause odors and safety accidents for residents due to exposure to waterways in the reservoir, and plans to minimize odors by promoting maintenance projects such as installing covers.

Amsa Green Road is a project that contains the wishes of Gangdong-gu residents that connects the Hangang River, which has been cut off by Olympic Highway, and the historic site in Amsa-dong.

The government is pushing to open an access road with a width of 5m and a length of 250m so that residents can conveniently enter the Han River, and plans to accelerate the project with the secured budget.

Lee Jung hun, head of Gangdong-gu District Office, said, "Securing financial resources is paramount to promote projects for balanced regional development. We will do our best to ensure that projects with budget are carried out as soon as possible."
