Gangdong-gu, Seoul, will hold the Gangdong Urban Agricultural Fair in the open garden of Gangdong-gu Office for two days, October 1 to 2. This is designed to promote urban agriculture in various fields and awaken its value by holding various urban agricultural exhibitions and experience events so that it can be a time of rest and healing in daily life tired of COVID-19. Marking its 11th anniversary this year, the fair will hold exhibition events on the 1st to 2nd and non-face-to-face experience events under the theme of "COVID-19 Blue Healing, Together More Value Gangdong Urban Agriculture." The exhibition event, which will be held in the open garden from the 1st, will showcase rich autumn urban agriculture, including fruit crops that are not usually seen, and display various herbs and medicinal plants that can be easily decorated at home. Introduced in various media outlets, native seed exhibitions will also be held at the "Native Seed Library" promotion booth from all over the country, and rice harvested from Daraininon, an urban agricultural park, will be demonstrated in a traditional way to provide children with a great educational venue. On the other hand, Smart Farm, which shows future agriculture, will also be displayed. You can also see various types of box gardens where crops can be grown in idle and small spaces of buildings by introducing LED growers that grow plants without sunlight and soil to suggest future directions for urban agriculture. In addition, a virtuous cycle event will be held to change masks with the Gangdong Urban Agricultural Logo and chrysanthemum cars donated by the public-private partnership committee if empty pots are brought home when visiting the exhibition event. It also operates a community-type non-face-to-face program that allows users to experience and participate without visiting the site in person. If you take an experience video of the plant cultivation kit delivered to your home after receiving an application in advance and upload it on the Gangdong-gu Urban Agricultural Portal website from the 15th to the 16th, four of them will be selected and sent a box garden package.
