Gangdong-gu District (mayor Lee Jung hun) will recruit 81 more participants in the elderly job project from the 6th. Currently, 3,227 senior citizens are participating in 52 projects in Gangdong-gu, and the additional recruitment will increase the number of senior citizens to 3,308 in 54 projects. The recruitment project is 42 street tree maintenance team (public service type for basic pensioners over 65 years old) 39 senior care group in our neighborhood (social service type for senior citizens over 65 years old). However, under the National Basic Living Security Act, beneficiaries of livelihood benefits and employees of the National Health Insurance are restricted from applying. The "Street Tree Repair Team" is paid more than 30 hours per month and 270,000 won per month for weed removal and environmental maintenance of tree protection frames, while the "Our Neighborhood Senior Care Team" is paid 710,000 won per month for monitoring visits to vulnerable households and providing customized welfare. The application period is from the 6th to the 8th, and those who wish to participate can visit the senior welfare department of Gangdong-gu Office or apply online (for welfare, jobs for the elderly). However, even if an application is made online, evidence documents must be submitted by visiting later. If selected as a participant, it will be posted on the website of Gangdong-gu Office and will be active for three months from the end of September to December. "We hope that Corona 19 will help the elderly overcome economic difficulties by expanding their jobs in times of hardship," said mayor Lee Jung hun.
