Subject Gangdong-gu holds 'UCC Contest for Improving Disability Perception

Gangdong-gu District (mayor Lee Jung hun) will hold a "UCC Contest for Improving Disability Perception."

The contest is designed to expand video content that will help improve disability awareness, and any disabled people with a lot of interest in video production can participate. However, this applies only to persons with disabilities who are already registered as of the date of public announcement (2021.8.2).

The application method is to submit a three-minute or so pure creation of free materials such as dream, courage, love, and family through e-mail (daye6671@gd.go.kr) along with a public application, personal information consent, pledge, and certificate of disability.

Applications will be made from September 23 to 30 at 6 p.m., and the results of the screening will be announced on the Gangdong-gu website or notified individually in October.

The district plans to select five films based on comprehensive evaluation of meaning transfer, technology, creativity, and utilization, and will award awards and prizes to one grand prize (800,000 won), two best prizes (600,000 won each), and two encouragement prizes (300,000 won each). In addition, the selected outstanding pieces will be used as educational materials for improving disability awareness.

"Please pay a lot of attention so that many creative and diverse works can be submitted at the contest," said Lee Jung hun, head of Gangdong-gu District. "We will do our best to create a society where disabled and non-disabled people live together beyond disability."
