-Operate a heat shelter at the district office for the elderly who are vulnerable to housing until September 30th.
Gangdong-gu District operates a heat shelter until September 30th to help vulnerable elderly people spend summer healthily and safely in preparation for the heat wave in summer. A total of 249 heat shelters, including 19 district offices, 19 community centers, 118 elderly love rooms, and welfare facilities, are operating, while outdoor heat shelters are also operating in the front yard pavilion of Gangdong Senior Welfare Center.

It is open from 9 to 18 on weekdays, and when a special heat wave warning is issued, the district office and the community center's heat shelter operates from 9 to 21 on weekdays and holidays. (However, the community center's "extended shelter" is open until August 31st.)

When a heat wave warning is issued from July 1 to August 31, the night heat shelter is operated in the multipurpose room on the first basement floor of the Gangdong-gu Office building, and the operation hours are from 21:00 to 7:00 on the following day. It complies with social distancing and quarantine rules and operates tents.

In addition, we will sign a business agreement with the accommodation in the jurisdiction and provide 'safety accommodation' to the elderly who are vulnerable to housing from July 20 to August 31 when issuing a special heat wave warning.

Applications for "night heat shelter" and "safety accommodation" can be made directly by visiting the community center in charge of the address or through a living manager and a nurse in Seobu-dong. If you get a confirmation call from the district office, you can bring your ID card and visit the place you applied for.
