Gangdong-gu, Social Security Benefit Identification Survey
Out of 5,731 households, 345 households are confirmed to be in bad supply and demand.260 million recovery measures.
Gangdong-gu, Seoul, said on the 16th that it conducted a confirmation survey on the adequacy of social security benefits in 5,731 households whose public data has been changed among those eligible for social security benefits.

The investigation has been conducted for three months since April to prevent fraudulent supply and demand and to strengthen fairness, accuracy, and reliability in the management of target people.

Of the 5,731 households surveyed, 2606 were confirmed to have changed. The survey found that 834 households were suspended from qualification, 561 households increasing salaries, 1103 households decreasing salaries, and 108 other households including changes in guarantees.

The government is taking measures to recover 260 million won from 345 households that have been found to be inadequate or fraudulent due to non-reporting of changes.

It is possible to save about 240 million won a month due to the rapid suspension and change of eligibility.

For 286 people who need welfare benefits such as disabled, elderly, and single-parent families, they are trying to minimize the occurrence of supply and demand blind spots through various support such as deliberation, special application, and links to other guarantees through the Living Security Committee.

"The number of people subject to social security is steadily increasing as the number of people suffering from sudden closure, falling sales, and unemployment due to prolonged coronavirus," said Lee Jung hun, head of Gangdong-gu District Office. "We will do our best to ensure that no one is left out."
