Subject 2021 Gangdong-gu leisure canoe class!

Gangdong-gu (Mayor Lee Jung-hun) announced that the 2021 Leisure Canoe Class is going to be operated at Misari water sports park from August 14 (Saturday) to August 26 (Thursday). The leisure canoe class is supervised by the coaches and players of the canoe team of Gangdong-gu Office directs the canoeing techniques, and all participants are covered by group insurance. A total of 300 people, 30 people per session, will be recruited on a first-come, first-served basis through online reservations on the Gangdong-gu Office website from 9 a.m. on July 29 (Thursday). The leisure canoe class, which began in 2009 as part of the talent donation and social contribution activities of the local amateur sports team, marked its 12th anniversary this year, and has provided opportunities for many residents to experience leisure canoeing by taking advantage of having the only canoe team in Seoul and the Misari water sports park which is located near Gangdong-gu. In addition, it plans to conduct free special classes in connection with local children's centers. The leisure canoe class is going to provide students in vacation with a unique and intresting pleasure of experiencing water sports that are usually hard to enjoy as a venue for sports experience with their parents.  "We feel sorry that the leisure canoe class could not be operated last year due to the corona virus, but we expect to make good memories through canoe experience at Misari water sports park this year and thank the canoe team for donating their talents," said Lee Jung hun, mayor of Gangdong-gu.
