Subject <Gangdong-gu operates a training course for dog behavior experts in the second half of the year>

Gangdong-gu (head of the district office Lee Jung hun) is recruiting participants in the training for the "Pet Behavior Expert Training Course in the second half of 2021" by August 6th (Friday).

The district has been running a "Parents' Behavioral Expert Training Course" since 2017 to foster professional workers in the pet industry and create an advanced animal welfare culture along with youth job links.

156 trainees participated in the 7th course in the first half of this year, 132 completed the course, and 49 people were linked to employment and start-up due to obtaining certificates after completion.

It is recruiting 20 new participants to participate in the 8th phase of the course in the second half of the year.

The main education subjects are ▲ dog behavior, ▲ pedagogy, ▲ dogwork pet sitter, ▲ elixir, and ▲ pet industry, and the Gangdong Ribbon Center (Yangjae-daero 81-gil 73 in Gangdong-gu) for about five months from August to December.

Through tests during the curriculum, it will provide opportunities to obtain certificates for four specialists: ▲ pet behavior specialist, ▲ dog walker, ▲ pet funeral instructor, and ▲ pet sitter, as well as supportive instructor activities for pet culture education programs operated by the district.

Participants are young people aged 18 to 39 who want to get a job or start a business in related fields such as animal trainers and animal protection, and if they want to participate, they must submit application documents by August 6 (Friday).

Lee Jung hun, head of Gangdong-gu District Office, said, "We hope you will participate in the 'Parenting Process' that contributes to the spread of the right pet culture and provides young people with opportunities to get a job and start a business."
