Subject Godeok 1dong delivers Chobok Samgyetang to 150 households in vulnerable groups through the "Run Bokdalim Sharing Event"

Godeok 1 dong, Gangdong-gu (mayor Lee Jung hun), held a "Run Bokdalim Sharing Event" on the 8th, July, 2021, to deliver Chobok celebrating Samgyetang to 150 households of vulnerable people living alone.

"Run Bokdalim Sharing Event" is one part of the Warm Town Sharing Refrigerator Project operated in Godeok 1 dong, which delivers Samgyetang, which is good for refreshing energy, to overcome the Sambok heat ahead of Chobok, instead of the usual side dishes as usual.

The samgyetang, which was donated by residents for vulnerable neighbor of Godeok 1 dong and sponsored by the Godeok 1 dong Council of Occupational Organizations, is delivered by 30 ‘Smart Salpimi Volunteer Corps’ consisting of residents and honorary social welfare officials. Also as they deliver samgyetang, they will check their regards as care monitoring.

Joo Young-seok, head of Godeok 1 dong, said, "In the past, residents of the neighborhood gathered in one place to eat bokdalim food, but this year, we delivered it directly to each house for social distancing. Now that we need social attention from the elderly living alone and the vulnerable class living alone in winter due to the prolonged corona 19, we hope this event will help seniors overcome their emotional isolation and have a healthy summer."

On the other hand, Godeok 1 dong continues to operate various projects such as Warm Town Sharing Refrigerator, White National Laundry Volunteer Group, Elder Garden Planting, and Flogging Day to induce the underprivileged to participate in social activities and resolve welfare blind spots.
