Subject Gangdong-gu won the Korea Future Management Award.

Gangdong-gu District (District mayor Lee Jung hun) announced on the 3rd that it won the grand prize in the local autonomy category at the 2021 Korea Future Management Awards held at the Korea Press Center on July 2.
The Korea Future Management Award is hosted by Herald Economy and the Korea Herald and organized by Monthly Power Korea, which was established to discover and publicize people, companies, and institutions with outstanding competitiveness in various fields of society.

Since the launch of the 7th popular election, Gangdong-gu District has been well-received for actively promoting various projects under the slogan "Happy Gangdong" with ▲ Labor ▲ Education ▲ Eco-friendly ▲ Smart as the keyword for future management.
It has been leading the development of local communities by discovering policies that fit the flow of society faster than any other local government, such as Gangdong-gu Labor Rights Center, Gangdong E-Studio, the nation's first 3D virtual remote class platform.

In particular, the Ice Pack Reuse Collection Project, which was established for the first time in local governments nationwide, is an eco-friendly innovative administration that reduces waste and reduces carbon, and is an excellent policy. He has also won several contests, including the 5th Korea Policy of the Year Award.
Despite the crisis of covid 19, Gangdong-gu won awards in 98 areas of foreign institutions last year, securing 70.2 billion won in external resources and receiving 17 ministerial awards.
The local autonomy category of Korea's Future Management Awards is even more meaningful as only three institutions, including Gangdong-gu, Jongno-gu and Anyang-si, won the award.

Lee Jung hun, head of Gangdong-gu District Office, said, "As a result of continuous efforts to take a step forward in administration despite the tough situation of Corona 19, it is meaningful that we will make good results."
