Subject Gangdong-gu Office Open Garden Media Wall Installation

Gangdong-gu Office (mayor Lee Jung hun) said it has established and operated a media wall in the open yard of Gangdong-gu District Office (25 Seongnae-ro).


Media Wall will be reborn as a cultural space where visitors who are tired of Covid-19 can enjoy the eyes and ears of residents who are tired of Covid-19 and expand opportunities to enjoy more culture and arts.


In addition, it will greatly expand premium content that can secure a wide audience with various video contents and plan differentiated programs than other media to ensure that Media Wall is firmly established as a representative cultural interface in Gangdong.


In the future, Gangdong-gu, along with the Seoul Arts Center's "SACON SCREEN," will screen world's leading classical videos every Thursday and last Saturday except the first week for Gangdong-gu residents.

In June, the nation's first graffiti museum show-The Great Graffiti Exhibition on the 17th, Sprite of Beethoven on the 24th, opening concert 'Mozart Week 2021 ' to celebrate Mozart's birth 265th anniversary and pianist Cho Sung-jin's unpublished performance on the 26th will be screened at 6:30 p.m.

SACON SCREEN is a project to watch and enjoy the excellent art contents of the Seoul Arts Center through the screen, and Gangdong-gu was selected as the Seoul Arts Center's imaging project "SACON SCREEN." With high-definition and high-quality video, the artist's vivid expressions and gestures will be shown to Gangdong-gu residents in the future.


Through various classical videos such as the Salzburg Festival, the world's largest classical music festival, and opera, the audience can experience covering their eyes and ears.

In addition, Gangdong-gu is planning to introduce various works by organizing programs during the evening and weekend on weekdays through film screenings, performances and exhibitions by the Gangdong Cultural Foundation, and motion graphics.

"We expect Media Wall to serve as a cultural complex space for residents to enjoy and enjoy cultural arts," said Lee Jung hun, the mayor of Gangdong-gu. "We will do our best to become a venue for residents' harmony through real-time broadcasting of various genres, national sports."
