The Gangdong-gu Cheonho Library in Gangdong-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Lee Jeonghun) has been selected as the "2021 Specialized Library Promotion Support Project" for three consecutive years. The Specialized Library Promotion Support Project" is hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Korea Library Association to differentiate expertise that reflects regional characteristics and provide specialized services that meet user needs." This year's contest was applied by 62 organizations nationwide, and a total of 15 were selected after reviewing the possibility of project performance, reflection of local infrastructure and characteristics, voluntary operation of specialized libraries, development, and road map. Since its opening in October 2017, Cheonho Library has been continuously considering low birthrates and lack of childcare information services, and as a result, various specialized services such as ▲ revitalization of joint childcare communities ▲ fostering resource activists ▲ joint parenting ▲ MOU agreement with affiliated organizations are the results of its concerns. This year, the project will be carried out with the aim of realizing "joint parenting" village networking and realizing joint parenting governance to take it as an opportunity to take a leap forward as a specialized library. An official from Cheonho Library said, "In the wake of the post-corona era, childcare difficulties have become more serious, and we feel that the childcare community is more necessary and urgent," adding, "We will continue to make efforts to help Cheonho Library serve as a joint parenting information guide.
