Subject Gangdong-gu, Improving the convenience and efficiency of performing duties through the welfare service manual

Gangdong-gu District (District mayor Lee Jung hun) announced that it will produce and distribute the "2021 At-a-glance Welfare Work Manual" to help workers in the social welfare field.

Welfare projects have manuals for each project, but support standards are changing every year, and the contents are complex and diverse, making it difficult for practitioners to familiarize themselves with all their tasks. To solve this problem, Gangdong-gu collected all the welfare projects of the state, Seoul

Metropolitan Government, and Gangdong-gu District in one place every year since 2008.
This welfare service manual included 89 projects in 10 welfare areas, including welfare for low-income families, welfare for children and teenagers, welfare for the disabled, and welfare for the elderly. Each detailed welfare project also contains a summary of the application method, required documents, selection criteria, and support.

In particular, this year, it included a new care SOS center project for residents in need of care, a temporary childcare support project for the old welfare project, and an after-school care facility for elementary school students.

The Gangdong-gu will distribute it to the district office and the welfare workers of the Dong Community Center and use it for counseling on welfare recipients. It is also expected to be distributed to welfare centers, schools, and hospitals to contribute to the discovery of low-income families and will be used as educational materials for employees.

Lee Jung hun, head of Gangdong-gu Office, said, "The 2021 At A Glance Welfare Manual provides a quick and accurate understanding of the work flow of various welfare projects at a private institutions are expected to help find welfare targets.
