Subject Gangdong-gu, 500,000 won for temporary living support;

Gangdong-gu District Office will provide "temporary living support fund" to low-income people who have a crisis caused by falling income but are struggling to receive other Covid-19 damage support.

Among the households whose income has decreased compared to 2019-2020 (January to May 2021), low-income households with a median income of less than 75% and assets of less than 600 million won do not apply separately to financial assets and liabilities.

The amount of support is 500,000 won per household, and in order to receive support, various documents (such as original collection receipts) that can prove recent income and comparative income can be submitted to prove income reduction, or if there is no evidence, it can be submitted as a self-report.

Households that receive basic living benefits (living benefits, May) and emergency welfare (living support, May) support, support for small business owners, vouchers for farmers, fishermen, and forestry workers will be excluded from the temporary livelihood support.

However, farmers, fishermen, and forestry can receive 200,000 won excluding 300,000 won out of 500,000 won in total payment if they meet the requirements for temporary living support even if they receive 300,000 won in vouchers for farmers, fishermen, and forestry.

After checking whether the criteria for temporary living support are met and other support systems are received, 500,000 won will be paid in cash on June 25 (1st) and 200,000 won (2nd) on June 28.

In order to receive temporary living support, householders can apply through the Internet homepage (www.bokjiro.go.kr) from May 10 to 28, or householders, household members, and agents can visit the community center in charge of resident registration from May 17 to June 4.

When visiting the site, a copy of the bankbook of the payment request account, a consent form for providing personal information, including household members, and evidence of income reduction can be submitted along with the application.

"There are vulnerable people in welfare blind spots who are suffering from Corona 19, but need help because they do not receive much support," said Lee Jung hun, head of Gangdong-gu District. "We will do our best to guide and promote applications so that all eligible residents can receive temporary living support."
