Gangdong-gu District (head of the district office Lee Jung hun) has completed the sketch to create Seongan-ro Angel Workshop Street as a pedestrian-centered cultural street. Angel Workshop is a project to support young people who lack funds but have ideas, skills, and passion by creating a variety of businesses into workshops. The district conducted a basic plan for improving the street environment of Angel Workshop Street for about four months from December last year to April this year and held a final report on April 26. The basic plan establishment service is to improve the environment of the sidewalk through flattening the sidewalk and expanding some of the sidewalks. In particular, the district expects the Angel Workshop Street to become a "Angel Workshop Culture and Arts Street" by reflecting Gangdong-gu's unique design on street facilities. The project is located at the north gate of Olympic Park near Seongan-ro 108 to the intersection of Sungsim Hospital in Gangdong, a 1.4km road extension (2.8km round trip). In detail, it plans to establish a promotional section (Nonghyeop Entrance Range to Howon Art Hall) to carry out the project stably. Prior to the final report on the service, the district also surveyed 250 residents, including nearby residents and shopping operators, on the direction and need to improve the street environment of Angel Workshop Street from late March to early April. The basic design will be carried out by reflecting the results and surveys from the briefing session, and related procedures such as public design deliberation by the Seoul Metropolitan Government will be carried out. "Our district is contributing to the creation of youth jobs and revitalization of the local economy with the Angel Workshop Street project," said Lee Jung hun, head of Gangdong-gu District. "We will further work on the "Social Innovation" project to create brighter Sungan-ro and fundamentally change the living environment of residents."
