Gangdong-gu District (District mayor Lee Jung hun) reorganized the Gangdong-gu District Self-Directed Learning Support Center into the Future Education Innovation Center to actively foster future core talents leading the era of the fourth industrial revolution. Since 2010, the district has established its first self-directed learning support center, providing various knowledge and experiences so that students can grow into key talents with creativity and confidence in the changing educational environment. Last year, the government took preemptive measures to prevent the educational gap from occurring even in the Covid-19 situation through the establishment of Gangdong e-Studio, high school e-cloud operation, and smart campus pilot projects using digital infrastructure. In line with the rapidly changing education paradigm, Gangdong-gu plans to change its name to Gangdong-gu Future Education Innovation Center in March and push for the Gangdong 2030 Future Talent Training Project to establish a customized education support system for elementary, middle and high school students. Gangdong-gu Future Education Innovation Center plans to focus more on revitalizing smart education platforms by operating middle school e-cloud, expanding smart campuses, and establishing integrated portal for future education. It also plans to support future talent training curriculum using smart education technology (Edu-tech) and expand education infrastructure by establishing a cooperative system between regions and schools. "Through the Future Education Innovation Center, we will promote various projects with the aim of balanced support between universal education welfare and leading future education so that students living in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution can grow into healthy future society," said Lee Jung hun, head of Gangdong-gu District. |
