Subject Gangdong-gu , "Gangdong Family Festival" for Family Month

Gangdong-gu will hold a Gangdong Family Festival on May 22 at the open garden of Gangdong-gu district office to mark Family Month in May.



The Gangdong Family Festival consists of two programs: "Gangdong Family Show Contest," which uses clothes and props to create and show off new costumes, and "Now, Propose" which conveys what couples want to say to each other.



Gangdong-gu will receive videos introducing costumes and families produced by various types of families, and eight selected families will stage a fashion show on the day of the event.



The video submission period is from Monday, April 19 to Thursday, May 6. The stage of the eight selected families will be broadcast live on YouTube, and residents who want to watch it can apply from May 3 (Mon) to May 14 (Fri). Applications for participation and viewing can be made through the website (gangdong.familynet.or.kr) of the Gangdong-gu Healthy Family and Multicultural Family Support Center.



In addition to the fashion show stage, the event will also offer a variety of attractions, including video letters, interviews and performances for Couple's Day.



"I hope it will serve as an opportunity to reflect on the importance of family members to mark Family Month in May." said Gangdong-gu District mayor Lee Jung hun. "In a situation where outdoor activities are restricted due to Corona 19, I hope that it will be a time for families to enjoy themselves at home through the Gangdong Family Festival."
