Gangdong-gu expands part-time childcare services..."Leave the baby at ease."

When you need temporary care, such as urgent business, hospital use, etc.

Gangdong-gu, Seoul, announced on the 6th that it will expand part-time childcare services to eight classes in a total of six locations by adding two part-time childcare centers in the district and Gangdong Welfare Center.

Part-time childcare is a childcare service that allows infants and children who do not use daycare centers and receive home care allowances to leave their children with confidence when they have urgent business or need childcare temporarily, such as using hospitals.

The district resumed operation of part-time childcare services with daycare centers from the 1st due to the lifting of the order to close daycare centers across Seoul.

Among the existing part-time childcare providers, the Child/Mom Gangdong Childcare City Cheonho branch in Gangdong-gu Community Center was abolished due to the aging of small spaces and facilities, and part-time childcare centers were opened at nearby Gangdong Welfare Center.

In order to cope with the demand from large-scale housing complexes near Sangil-dong Station and the influx of population from the Gangil area, a new part-time nursery room was opened in March.

In addition, △ Gangdong-gu Office Daycare Center (Sungnae 1-dong) △ District Raemian Hillstate Daycare Center (Godeok 1-dong) △ District Godeok Forest Daycare Center (Sangil-dong) △ District Raemian Solvenue Daycare Center (Myeongil 1-dong).

Children from six months to less than 36 months are eligible for use, and the hours of use are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays. The fee is 4,000 won per hour or 1,000 won per hour (3,000 won for government support) until 80 hours per month.

If you exceed 80 hours per month, you can use it for an additional 4,000 won per hour.

For part-time childcare services, you can apply online at the portal "Children's Love" or book a part-time childcare call center.

Lee Jung hun, head of Gangdong-gu Office, said, "Part-time childcare is a customized service centered on consumers for childcare families in need of help. In addition, we will actively expand the resident-centered childcare policy that residents can feel."
