Subject | Gangdong-gu Seoul Metropolitan University Signed an Agreement on the Production and Installation of Symbolic Artworks | ||
Gangdong-gu Seoul Metropolitan University Signed an Agreement on the Production and Installation of Symbolic Artworks Gangdong-gu, Seoul, has signed a business agreement with the Department of Environmental Sculpture at Seoul National University to "produce and install symbolic sculptural works for creating specialized places in Gangdong-gu." This is to establish creative cooperation through agreements with professional educational institutions and to present leading models of local communities. The agreement was initiated as part of a project to improve the landscape and specialize in urban landscapes through public works of art. Through exchanges and cooperation between the two organizations, symbolic sculptural works specializing in the Amsa 1-dong 458-1 area will be installed in the retaining wall and Jaturi space. In particular, symbolic sculpture works will be installed as a budget for residents' participation in Gangdong-gu in 2021. Through cooperation between local residents, local governments and universities (people, government, and academia), the local community will be provided with a wide range of opportunities to enjoy art culture. In addition, it is expected to provide high-quality attractions and cultural spaces for local residents, while motivating participating students to create creative activities. The works set up through the agreement will be set up as a joint work involving four professors, including students and Kim Seok, in conjunction with the Seoul National University's Environmental Sculpture and Environmental Sculpture Research Class. Lee Jung hun, Mayor of Gangdong-gu District, said, "This agreement will be the cornerstone of attracting public works through public, government, and academic cooperation." "Starting with this, we will create a space where culture and art flow throughout Gangdong-gu." |
