Subject Gangdong-gu, Love Dream Project, Toll Processing 2nd Store Opened: Providing jobs for low-income people

Gangdong-gu District (District mayor Lee Jung hun) announced that the Seoul Gangdong Regional Self-help Center, which is carrying out self-help work projects for low-income families, will launch the Love Dream Project (the second store for forestry).

The Gangdong Regional Self-help Center in Seoul was established in 2001 and provides intensive and systematic self-support services to low-income people with working capacity in Gangdong-gu. The center launched the Dream Project (the 1st Imgong-gong store) in November 2019, providing jobs to low-income people aged 50 or older and under 64 who were unable to enter the general labor market.

As the number of participants in the forestry project steadily increased from an average of 9 per month at the time of the launch of the project to an average of 25 per month as of 2021, the Sarang Dream Project (the 2nd Limgong branch) will be launched additionally. The Sarang Dream Project (the second store of the forest processing project) is a project to provide an average of 24 self-help participants with shopping bag folding jobs at a business site located in Cheonjung-ro 11-gil, Gangdong-gu.

It creates jobs by providing jobs that can be participated by low-income residents with weak working skills, while promoting participants' willingness to work and supporting the establishment of a self-support base through joint work on folding shopping bags.
