Subject Gangdong-gu, Installation of additional AI circular resource recovery robot (Neflon)

Gangdong-gu establishes and operates a circular resource recovery robot (Neflon) No. 4 in front of the main gate of the Gangdong-gu Community Center in order to establish a smart recycling collection system.

As compensation for collection, it can be accumulated at KRW 10 points per can and pet bottle and can be injected up to 200 points per person per day.

If the accumulated points are accumulated more than 2,000 points, they can be transferred to a personal account through the Superbin website or the Superbin App (application) and used in cash.

Previously, Gangdong-gu installed and operated Nephron No. 2 in Samter Neighborhood Park and Nephron No. 3 in Amsa-dong ruins, starting with the demonstration of Nephron No. 1 in Sungil Elementary School.

The cumulative number of users reached 5,100 in February 2021, and the accumulated points exceeded 2.2 million won. More than 300,000 cans and PET bottles were recycled, contributing to the virtuous cycle of resources.

In response, the district installed the Neflon 4 in Gangdong-gu Community Center to further improve awareness of the virtuous cycle of resources.

"The Gangdong-gu Community Center is currently closed with Corona 19, but it is expected that many residents, including visitors to the community center, will use Nephron in the future," said Lee Jung hun, head of Gangdong-gu Office. "We will do our best to recognize the importance of resource virtuous circle."
