Subject Gangdong-gu Holds Online Dementia Special Lecture in 2021

Gangdong-gu mayor Lee Jung hun announced on the 19th that he will hold a special online dementia lecture on various topics related to dementia from March.

In September last year, the district turned "visiting dementia prevention education" online, which could not be operated due to Corona 19, and expanded the target of education to ordinary residents.

This year, special lectures will be given to improve dementia awareness and prevent dementia by expanding education. From March to November, it will be held in real time through the ZOOM video conference program on the third Wednesday of every month at 2 p.m. and will be held under different themes for each special lecture. However, it will take place on the last Wednesday of March.

ZOOM installation notices and training materials are pre-distributed to the home of the training participants and are free of charge.

Residents who want to participate in the education by recruiting 90 people on a first-come-first-served basis can apply on the website of the Gangdong-gu Dementia Safety Center or by phone at the Dementia Safety Center.

Lee Jung-hun, Mayor of Gangdong-gu District, said, "There are more and more residents who are interested in dementia, as well as workers at dementia care facilities and families."

In addition, Gangdong-gu mayor Lee Jung hun said he will provide free "food poisoning prevention diagnosis consulting" for small-scale small restaurants (excluding franchises) with a size of 33㎡ or less in the jurisdiction from April.
