Subject Gangdong-gu District Office conducts a survey on the opinions of new residents and coordinates city bus routes

Gangdong-gu, Seoul, announced on the 24th that it will conduct a survey of local residents' opinions on the adjustment and establishment of city bus routes to resolve inconveniences caused by the development of Godeokgang-il housing site and Sangil-dong housing reconstruction.
The poll period is eight days from the 22nd to the 29th. It will conduct an online survey of Gangdong-gu Office website and an offline survey through the community center.
The adjustment of route 342 is aimed at easing congestion during rush hour and improving the convenience of residents in the Godeok River 2 district.
Since the second half of last year, 4,454 households of Gangdong Riverst, Godeok Gangil 2 district, have been moving in. If the move-in is completed, including the complex under construction in the future, a total of about 16,000 people from 6606 households are expected within the housing site alone.
Currently, only buses on Gangdong 02 and 3318 are operating within the housing site, causing inconvenience to residents due to the high bus congestion.
In response, the Seoul Metropolitan Government will prepare a proposal to partially adjust the No. 342 city bus route via subway stations on lines 5 and conduct an opinion survey.
The new city bus route is via Godeokgangil District 3 and Gangil Station on Line 5, Sangil-dong Station and Jungang Veterans Hospital Station on Line 9.
The Godeok Gangil 3 district consists of 3,977 households in six complexes, and 1909 households in three complexes are currently occupied.
In the future, the new route is expected to increase public transportation convenience for residents near Godeok Lotte Castle Veneruche, Godeok Central I-Park, and Sangil-dong residential areas, who have been continuously inconvenient to use the route bus.
The district plans to actively propose to the Seoul Metropolitan Government to increase the convenience of public transportation by reducing the interval between city bus routes such as 342, 2312, and 3318.
It will also continue to consult with Hanam City and Gyeonggi Bus Company to expand bus routes that can be transferred to subway line 9.
"We will continue to consult with related agencies, Seoul City, Hanam City, and transportation companies to make it easier to use route buses in the future to minimize inconvenience for residents due to large-scale housing development and reconstruction maintenance projects," said Lee Jung hun, head of Gangdong-gu District.
