The first place to greet "morning," which was first spotted by King Seonjo.

Starting from Neolithic sites and cartoon streets, eating webfoot octopus and ending the day with starviews.

Gangdong-gu, which is located at the eastern end of Seoul, is the first place to greet the morning.
It has 6,000 years of history. Gangdong is a name given to the easternmost part of the Han River.

In Amsa-dong, Gangdong-gu, there is a Neolithic prehistoric site discovered during the Great Flood of the Eulchuk Year in 1925. At that time, numerous comb-pattern pottery was found as the Han River basin was dug up, and it was known that it was a Neolithic site, and in 1988, Amsa-dong Prehistoric Historic Park was developed.
Lee Jung hun, head of Gangdong-gu, said, "If you come to Gangdong, you will look around the traces of prehistoric sites that are being registered as World Heritage sites.
"Many areas are changing, and among them, I recommend you to visit our unique places in Gangdong-gu."

1. Prehistoric Site in Amsa-dong

The ruins of Amsa-dong, Seoul, representing Korea's prehistoric era, are the largest collective settlement in the Han River basin. Several excavations have found more than 40 sites.
There are traces of the lives of Neolithic people who lived in fishing and collecting around the Han River.
Prehistoric ruins show traces of prehistoric humans and comb-pattern pottery culture. Currently, prehistoric sites are being registered as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
There are various educational programs such as cultural heritage commentary, Amsa History and Culture University, and cultural heritage exploration for visitors in the prehistoric villages. In addition, Amsa Historical and Cultural Park and Amsa Green Road are built around the historic site to provide shelter and cultural space to citizens in harmony with Neolithic culture and the surrounding ecological environment.

2. Gangpul Cartoon Street (feat. Starlight Street)

Gangpul Cartoon Street is a place where Gangdong-gu decorated the streets of Cheonho-daero 168-gil, Seongnae-dong, with about 50 mural paintings of famous webtoon artist Gangpul.
As part of Gangdong-gu's "Warm Village Making" project, Gangpool Cartoon Street was created with murals and sculptures by combining four cartoons, including Gangpool's romantic cartoon series, with the village's story.

Last year, Gangdong-gu District decorated the street with starlight on the 250-meter section. Lee Jung hun, head of Gangdong-gu District , said, "The creation of Starlight Street is a project with ideas from local residents and cooperation from residents. We will make Gangpul Cartoon Street a pleasant and attractive landscape street for pedestrians."

3. Webfoot octopus alley in Seongnae-dong

Seongnae-dong, located near Cheonho Station, has a webfoot octopus eatery alley.
About 10 webfoot octopus restaurants, which have been created since the 1970s, are located in alleys less than 100 meters away. There is also a set of webfoot octopus, webfoot octopus + pork belly, webfoot octopus + shrimp, and webfoot octopus + pork belly + shrimp.
Lee, the head of the district office, strongly recommended, "It is an addictive taste that some people have never tried spicy, crunchy, and soft jjusam, but others have never eaten it once."
Gangdong-gu District Office carried out a project to decorate the area as a specialized webfoot octopus alley in 2016 to revitalize local businesses and foster them as tourist attractions.
The webfoot octopus restaurant has a signature design that suits its characteristics, and at the entrance of the webfoot octopus alley, there is also a webfoot octopus symbol sculpture and a trick art photo zone that depicts killer whales and webfoot octopus swimming.
