Gangdong-gu District Office said that they will launch a project to support gender equality in 2021. To give you more accurate news, Gangdong-gu District (District mayor Lee Jung hun) will hold a public contest for "Gender Equality Support Project" to discover resident-led gender equality projects that reflect the characteristics of the district. The Gender Equality Support Project" is a public offering project that provides residents with opportunities to find projects and carry out projects to create a gender equality society that all residents can feel in their daily lives." Among the types of support projects are five areas: improving gender equality awareness, supporting women's social participation, creating a safe urban environment for women, creating a family-friendly environment, and other projects for gender equality. The total amount of support is 10 million won, and it supports up to 4 million won per project. One project by corporation or organization may be supported, and at least 10% of the total project cost shall be proud. Those ones eligible for support are non-profit corporations or non-profit organizations in Gangdong-gu and other organizations whose main purpose is to realize gender equality, not for profit. A corporation or organization wishing to participate can submit all documents related to the application by March 19th (with the female family of Gangdong-gu Office) or by e-mail (artist3312@gangdong.go.kr). The project received will be subject to support and the amount will be finalized in April after related deliberations such as adequacy and performance capability.
