Subject Gangdong-gu expands 'Caring SOS Center' business

Gangdong-gu is expanding the “Caring SOS Center” business for caring services to resolve the caring gap.

Since last February, gangdong-gu has added four major services (▲ companion support, ▲ housing convenience, ▲ safety check, ▲ health support) to the 4 major care services (▲ temporary home stay, ▲ short-term facilities, ▲ meal support, ▲ information consultation). It supports a total of 8 services. Service expansion support is provided by 13 private organizations and a total of 40 additional organizations. Meal support services, which were highly satisfied with support due to the expansion of service organizations, have been expanded to 3 and are supported by region.

More, from mid-March, in addition to the eight major caring services, three more specialized caring services unique to Gangdong-gu to prevent suicide and loneliness will be provided. Additional services include 'safety care', which supports and repairs in the new spring health business to support the safety of the home, 'care for the mind' after a total investigation of depression of the person to be cared for, disinfection and quarantine before provision of temporary home services, and caring for delivery ▲ It is 'daily care' that monitors the subject.

The Care SOS Center can be used by the elderly, the disabled, and anyone aged 50 or older who have difficulty in daily life due to a sudden illness or accident.

Basic living beneficiaries, legally upper and lower income households with a median income of 85% or less are provided free of charge, and other residents of the ward can use it at their own expense. However, until June of this year, the median income will be expanded to less than 100% to support expenses.

Gangdong-gu mayor Lee Jung-hun said, “As the desire for care continues to increase due to the rapid aging and the increase of single-person households, the expanding “Caring SOS Center” service is expected to play a pivotal role in resolving the care gap.”
