The public parking lot of Seongnae Traditional Market held a ceremony on the 25th of last month.Gangdong-gu, Seoul, provided by Gangdong-gu, has created a public parking lot in the traditional market in Seongnae to ease the parking shortage, which has always been considered as a first-hand cause of inconvenience for residents using the traditional market. The public parking lot has a total budget of 8.7 billion won and has 28 parking spaces on 987㎡ (about 299 pyeong). Gangdong-gu was selected as a public parking lot for the Seongnae Traditional Market in 2015 by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Seoul Metropolitan Government, and received state and municipal funds. After completing an investment review in October of the same year and signing and registering land and buildings from November 2016 to 2017, the demolition work of the building was completed in December 2018 and the parking lot was completed last month. The district held a completion ceremony on the 25th of last month to operate as an unmanned control system to efficiently manage and provide improved parking services. Market merchants and local residents attended to celebrate the new start of the traditional market in Seongnae. Considering the distancing caused by Corona 19, the completion ceremony was skipped, followed by a report on the progress of the project, a commendation for merit awards, and a ceremony for completion. "We will improve the environment to help market merchants suffering from corona and to revive the local economy." The traditional market in Seongnae is located in 162-gil Cheonho-daero, and consists of 86 stores selling various products such as agricultural products, marine products, butcher goods and groceries. In particular, the signboard of the store here is linked to the nearby Gangpul Cartoon Street, where cartoon elements have been introduced. The store's name and merchants' faces are expressed as "caricatures," which are popular with residents for providing attractions and entertainment. |
