Subject 14 Gwangmun High School students infected with coronavirus.

At Gwangmun High School in Gangdong-gu, Seoul, 14 people, including soccer club students, have been confirmed to be infected with the novel coronavirus (Corona 19), and their teaching will be suspended from the 8th.

According to the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education on the 7th, a total of 14 people, including one first-year student at Gwangmun High School, seven second-year students, and five third-year students, were confirmed over the weekend. The other one has yet to be identified.
Thirteen of the students were identified as members of the soccer club. Gwangmun High School held a teaching course for second and third graders last week, the first week of school.
An official from the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education said, "It was confirmed after one student showed suspicious symptoms after going to school on the 5th, and eight more were confirmed yesterday (6th) and five more were released today (7th)."

An epidemiological investigator visited Gwangmun High School the previous day (6th) morning and conducted an epidemiological investigation, and decided to conduct a diagnostic test on all second and third graders.
Gwangmun High School said in a notice on the school's website, "It was concluded that the inspection site was difficult to proceed at school, so second and third graders inevitably have to go to a nearby health center or a screening center during the weekend for Covid-19 examination."

First-year students who did not go to school last week are not subject to a full investigation, but they are recommended to be tested preemptively over the weekend."
Gwangmun High School plans to stop attending school and teaching staff in the first to third grade on the 8th, and replace classes with online classes or individual curriculum activities later on.

An official at the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education said, "We are investigating whether additional confirmed cases have occurred or not. We are conducting an investigation to identify the specific infection route."
The soccer club, where the group infection occurred, has been operated by an external consignee, not a school. It is estimated that the Korona 19 spread as students lived together.

An official from Gwangmun High School said, "We founded the soccer club in March 2019, but we disbanded the soccer club in November last year because of the problem of accommodation with Corona19. Since then, students have been trained in soccer in the form of an FC run by an outside company." "I understand that soccer club students have been staying together outside," he said. "I think the spread of Corona 19 has occurred during the camp."
