It gave a change to every part of the government building with the idea that 'the building is the house of Gangdong-gu'. Especially, It was devoted to the creation of a resident's square as a place where people could heal their minds and souls tired from daily life. How has the front yard of Gangdong-gu changed? The outer area of the former office building, which was a parking lot, turned into a lawn open space and garden with an area of 1,300 square meters. The 'open yard', where concrete is removed and grasses and various kinds of trees are planted, has become a space where children and companions can play at their leisure. The wide open lawn open space also has the effect of reducing urban heat island phenomenon caused by global warming. 'Gallery Garden' located on the west side of the lawn plaza recycled the transplanted roadside trees due to expansion work. The 'Zelkova Tree', which was moved from the roadside to the front yard of the ward office, has now become a shade of residents. Thanks to the recycling of roadside trees, we were able to reduce construction costs and implement resource circulation.
