Subject Gangdong - gu makes a safety inspection

These days, big and small accidents such as earthquakes and fires are restlessly occuring. The representative cases are Pohang earthquake, which made the first delay of Sunung, a Korean version of SAT, and Jaecheon fire, an accident that made 29 death tolls because of carelessness.

The public of Korea were surprised to see the damage of the accidents, and realized the seriousness of safety checks. Gangdong - gu was not an exception. Lee Hae - sik, the mayor of Gangdong - gu visited the site with cracks, and gave a speech over the importance of safety check. He emphasized to have a strict safety check since the public opinion became to worry over safety a lot recently. Together Lee also visited local supermarkets and medical facilities and checked whether the emergency exit route and fire protection system is well maintained.

The 2018 safety inspection is especially meaningful since it's the government's first attempt to apply real - name system in safety inspection. That way, the inspector becomes more careful when having safety inspections, since the fact that he checked out is recorded, and becomes responsible for it when an accident happens due to safety problems.

Gangdong - gu is expecting to receive a better, thorough and reliable safety inspection from the following attempt. While checking out, if the founded safety problem is serious, the National Safety Inspection Management System will continuously check after fast repairment.
