Gangdong-gu runs ‘Goduckchun Stream Eco Program’ - Every Sunday 2pm Goduckchun, Mangwolchun area… admission free Gangdong-gu announced to have a ‘Godeok-chun Stream Eco Program’ which helps to learn and experience the daily changes of stream ecosystem starting from April 8th, 2018. Goduck chun is the stream which has a great eco environment. It passes by area of Sangil-dong, Gangil-dong and Goduck-dong. Godeok-chun is a very popular rest area for residents because there are beautiful paths with trees and flowers for walking and biking. Especially, due to seasonal change and weather, nature-environment obviously shows the changes. It has chosen the best place for learning and studying the nature and value of life through various animals and plants. Gangdong-gu has been running the ‘Godeok-chun Stream Eco Program’ since last year. It has provided the accurate knowledge of ecosystem for children and the healing time for residents who got tired of city life. The program starts the area of Godeok-chun and Mangwol-chun every Sunday 2pm from April 8th to October 28th, 2018. There are many different topics for the classes which are run by an expert of stream and swamp. △ April: Studying spring stream that overcome from winter △ May: Who lives in the water? △ June: Stream families who like water △ July: Dragonflies fly- searching for sound of stream △ August: Who is the singer in the grasses △ September: Crying grass insects in fall- trip of seed △October: the reasons why leaves change in the fall? An official of Gangdong stated, “It should be a good chance for residents to know stream ecosystem through Godeok-chun Stream Eco Program.” He also mentioned, “I would like to ask more residents to be interested in program and to have a great time in Godeok-chun.
