Subject Establishing lifelong health-care framework for children

Gangdong-gu (Mayor Haesik-Lee) will expand the ‘Children's Health Center' program for infants in the region, helping them form a healthy lifestyle that will be the foundation of lifelong health.

From this year, the scope of coverage will be extended to 2 years old, so that children will be able to participate in education not only in public and private kindergartens, but also in homes.

In consideration of the fact that nursery schools are not enough in day care center, Gangdong-gu have been carrying out health education programs that are essential for childhood since 2007.

In the 'Children's Health Center', located on the first floor of Gangdong Public Health Center, You can experience various contents such as ▲Smoking and Drinking Prevention▲Safety and Exercise ▲Sex Education, and it is operated with group reservation system (about 20 people once).

In addition, it also conducts safety education in the fire station and subway station office by linking with related organizations and local resources in the area.

The Seoul Women's Nursing College practitioners also visit the local day care center and play a role-playing program called "Going Children's Health".
