Gangdong’s Brand New Childcare Program


Recently, there has been good news to our Gangdong citizens. Gangdong is now starting on a new childcare program during daytime, so as to support working moms and dads actively. Let us take a rather more specific look!

Well, according to the Gangdong Center, grandparents who are struggling with childcare at Gangdong-gu will be helped by 'Happy Parenting Classes for Grandparents' at the 3rd floor auditorium of the Public Health Center from April.

To explain more specificly, the so-called "halma" for parents of children who are struggling with childcare at dusk with the increasing number of dual-income families is held. In Gangdong-gu, Seoul, the "Happy Parenting Classes for Grandparents" will be run in the auditorium on the 3rd floor of the Public Health Center from next month.

Right now, childcare classes are held in April, June, September, and November. Three classes are held per nurse, including general education for neonatal care, nutrition education for each age group, vaccination schedule and oral care. Especially, we will organize the fairy tales and hands-on education to support positive relationships with grandchildren. The first training will be held on the 3rd, 10th and 17th of next month from 2pm to 4pm.

It seems to us very clearlt that the purpose of this study is to provide correct childcare methods and various childcare information to the grandparents who are not accustomed to changing childcare environment.

In fact, I do actually believe that It is essential for grandparents who have raised their arms in order to help their dual-earner children. Well, good for Gandgong citizens, we have less burden on our shoulders now.
