Subject Job experience program for teenagers at Gangdong Gu

Lee Haeshik, the head of Gangdong Gu, has decided to expand operation of 'Sangsang Pangpang', a job experience program at Gangdong Job Experience Center for teenagers from this April.

In June 2012, Gangdong Gu held 'Sangsang Pangpang' program in Seoul for the first time. The accumulated users of this program amount up to 152,868 people. Here, students can have a chance to materialize their dreams by vocational aptitude test, conference for career guidance and job experiences.

In 2018, it will provide twenty six programs in seven fields to prepare students for the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The programs include 'VR(virtual reality) & AR(Augmented Reality) Experience Program', 'Maker Experience Program' and etc. This will help the students to map their career paths creatively.

To be specific, the 'Maker Experience Program' provides students with experiences where they can promote their comprehensive application ability and creativity. It consists of SW education with electronic module, making creations with 3D printer, creating future city with architectural engineering kit. Furthermore, it also consists of planning public relations using SNS.

The 'VR & AR Experience Program' aims at providing experiences for students using hardcore technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and implanting safety consciousness in students. In detail, it has VR Security Experience Center and provides '3D AR job experience' with tablets.

Lee Hae Shik, head of Gangdong Gu, said "Just like the name 'Sangsang Pangpang( which means fully imagining) suggests, I will reinforce and diversify the program so that teenagers can find their aptitude and dreams and better prepare for their future.
