Gangdong-gu (Lee Haesik) will be the first nationwide to operate drones for cracking fine dust and noise in construction sites in March for efficient management of large-scale construction sites. In the case of a specially-managed workplace with a size of 10 times or more the size of a general management workplace, it was difficult to check and manage the details of the construction site in a general manner, so the efficient management of using the drone was planned. The workplaces that will be specially managed by utilizing this drone are 30 large-scale construction sites with a floor space of 100,000 ㎡ or more, among the dust and noise generating facilities. The drones are used more than twice a month to take pictures of the workplaces, check the installation of dust suppression facilities (dustproof covers, dustproof walls, wheelchairs, etc.), and the use of noise generation specific equipment. It is scheduled to carry out a rapid administrative disposition. An official said, "With the drone, it is possible to efficiently monitor and control the occurrence of scattered dust in large-scale reconstruction sites without blind spots and to monitor the noise occurrence by grasping the operation status such as operation of specific equipment. This will provide a safe and pleasant environment for residents and contribute to the improvement of air quality such as fine dust reduction." Currently, Gangdong-gu is actively pursuing rebuilding projects for 25 complexes, including the largest apartment complex in Korea, and is making various efforts to minimize the inconvenience of its residents. From the end of March, the company will conduct joint inspections of public and private enterprises with the 'Gangdong-gu Bullet Residents' Group, which is made up of residents to reduce fine dust. |
