The New Year's Day Daeboreum Festival will be held at the community garden garden (145-6, Sangil-dong) in Gangdong-gu . The event, where farmers and residents gather together to pray for a good harvest in 2018 and wish for the happiness of their families and neighbors around them, will include activities such as playing game called ‘쥐불놀이’, a traditional play of Korea, and eating 오곡 rice balls. There are various programs that families can enjoy together. A small concert where residents and urban farmers participate will be full of magic concert, dance and samulnori performances. When the sun goes down, the highlight of the ceremony, 달집 태우기, will be held. Residents and urban farmers will make a wish in this memorable event by praying for their abundance and peace for this year. The event, which is intended for the residents' abundance and peace in this year, is an event which local agricultural activists and residents living in Gangdong-gu prepared altogether. In particular, this year's event will be supported by the 'Operation Support Center' to check the safety during the event site for participants, and cooperate with the Gangdong Fire Department to arrange safety personnel and healthcare personnel for fire.
