Subject The very first 'Fine Eating Forest' is in Godeok dong.

Have you heard about a forest that eats 'dust' up? Korea's very first 'dust eating forest' was formed in Gang-dong residence, Go-deok dong.
Yellow dust, usually as known as Hwang-sa in Korea, has been a huge problem for every spring, early summer, and sometimes even fall. Yellow dust problem occurs when ascending current rises at the arid rigions of middle China, and Mongol. When rising dust fly away by westerly wind, and blow down with descending current around Korea, it becomes yellow dust. It causes several problems like respiratory diseases, eye diseases, and many kinds of mechanical defects.
Since many efforts to ease yellow dust crisis, Seoul City has been projecting 'Seoul, Blosson with Flower' campaign. And as a part a campaign, Seoul City and a major global company of China, Chinese Construction Bank, concluded 'Business Entente to form Dust Eating Forest' (MOU), and decided to form 4 forests from 2017 to 2020, one and one for each year. This project was started with Chinese Construction Bank's idea to reduce fine dust, hoping to make certain progress on environment improvement.
On 9th, Dec, twenty-some employees of Seoul City and Gang-dong residence have planted forty Acer Buergerianum (Chinese Maple) with employees of Chinese Construction Bank, at Go-deok dong DongJa Green Park.
Project directors are expecting that the Dust Eating Forests would absorb 700kg of fine dust, and 120 tons of CO2s for a year. It would not only be an improving process for yellow dust problem, but also a signal of international effort to fix up environmental problems and international dispute around them.
