Gangdong-Gu(Lee Haesik) will host a completion ceremonyI of '2017 In/Outdoors Gardeners Education' which is designed to enable residents to enjoy the garden life in the city center at the Gangdong-gu Lifelong Learning Center on Monday, December 18. 'In/Outdoors Gardeners Education' is to cultivate a gardener who can apply various kinds of horticultural crops to life and establish indoor and outdoor gardening system by linking with gardening agriculture, and it has been in operation since 2015. This year's training started in August, and 16 lectures were held for about 4 months, and as it was in connection with the village gardening business, the contents were more abundant. They invited specialists who are currently engaged in garden construction activities as instructors, organize actual gardening activities such as plant management, gardening crop survey, garden design, gardening fair, field gardening practice, and carried out various in-depth training to the possible contents. Particularly, the students were able to make indoor garden from the production of the plant box to the quotation and the planting material through the group construction practice, and lay the groundwork for practical help in making the garden later. The gardens that they have constructed are now located in Gangdong-gu Office No. 2, contributing to creating a pleasant environment. The training was held at the Lifelong Learning Center in Gangdong-gu and 40 certificate holders who attended more than 80% of the curriculum will receive a certificate of the name of the head of Gangdong-gu. After completing the program, they can participate in various activities such as creating and managing gardens in urban garden, special lectures on gardening, and greening project with the participation of local residents. An official from the city said, "There are many people who think that they usually think of gardens tremendously, however if you actively use indoor and outdoor spaces, you can rebuild into a gorgeous garden. In addition, it is possible to harvest healthy crops by planting garden crops there. I hope that this training will revitalize gardens and allow many residents to enjoy urban agriculture in their daily lives," he said. |
