According to the result of Social Survey 2017, carried out by National Statistical Office of Korea, the most hoped-for job of the citizen aged between 13 and 29 is the public service Asked about the future job, one out of four middle and high school students answered that working for government is their future dream. The yearning for having a job in public sector is ever growing today. In response to such a situation, Gangdong-gu office has organized an 'one-day public servant experience' program to help young citizens understand the characteristics of the public sector jobs and prepare their career in this area. Among the first-year students of six middle schools in Gangdong-gu who apply the program, 15 students can visit the departments of their own interest and have conversations with public servants who are currently at duty observing and experiencing the civil affairs administration. The Ministry of Education has introduced Free Semester system for the first year of middle school in order for students to freely search for their career and experience various jobs. Gangdong-gu office is working hard to provide students in free semester with meaningful programs to meet the needs of students and parents. In addition to the public servant job experience program, Sang sang pang pang, the career and job experience center of Gangdong-gu, offers the experience and counseling for various career areas. Doing is the best way to learn. We, public servants of Gangdong-gu, hope students can search and pursuit their dream and career through the real experience in a variety of job world! |
