Nowadays, pets are regarded as a family member that always show affection to their owners. They are creatures that give happiness and liveliness to their owners even though they cannot talk. Though they have become an essential part in human life, they get to spend most of their time at home. So, Gangdong-gu prepared a special festival where both pets and their owners can have a quality time and make precious memories. The festival, “Interaction between people and animals” was held for the first time this year. In this festival, there were various programs such as, “Walking along Mt. Iljasan with pets.” By sharing a same experience, owners were able to commune with their pets. Also, there were free health care, beauty, and animal school service. Participating in these diverse activities, owners were even able to know more about their pets. Moreover, there were acapella and pet performance which received a fervent response by the audience. People who do not own a pet also participated in this festival. Surrounded by many animals, they said that they feel closer to them. Since a lot of people now own pets, it is important to have a correct perception towards animals. It is not easy to live together with a pet because it requires good care and even financial burden. Owners need to be responsible for preparing a right surrounding for their pets. Gangdong-gu expects that there will be positive outcomes by having more festivals like this. Starting this year, Gangdong-gu is will arrange festivals every year. |
