Subject Conference about '2017 Disaster Response Safety Training in Korea' in Gangdong-gu

Gangdong-gu (Mayor Lee Hae-sik) conducted a second consultation on "Training for Disaster Preparedness for Korea in 2017" on the 20th to prepare for the actual training from the 30th. More than 40 people, including representatives of the collaborative departments, officials in charge of related organizations, and safety observers attended and exchanged opinions on the integration scenarios and examined the specific roles of each organization.
On September 27, the first consulting session was attended by a total of eight training practitioners, training related organizations, and training consulting committee members. On October 20, at the 2nd training meeting, about 40 people including the person in charge of the cooperation department, the person in charge of the related organization, and the safety monitoring team attended and exchanged opinions on the integration scenarios and checked the specific roles of the related organizations.
The city will conduct training on the assumption of spread of forest fires by the explosion of the gas pipeline due to the occurrence of an earthquake of magnitude 6.5 on November 1st. Disaster-related private organizations such as safety observers and autonomous disaster prevention groups will participate in the process of discipline such as backfill processing. On October 27th, the Joint Plenary Meeting will be held and the final rehearsal for disaster response discussion and on-site training will be conducted on November 1st at the basement control room of the main office.
In addition, fire escape training for children will be held at the Houwon Art Hall on October 30th, and fire evacuation drills will be held on November 2nd at welfare facilities for the disabled. Gangdong safety experience field is run three times for children during the training period. In addition, we carry out the safety culture practice campaign with the inhabitant through training traditional market fire and campaign.
Gangdong-gu official said “We will make every effort to prepare for the 2017 disaster response Korea training, which came a week ahead of, reflecting the problems raised in the three consulting sessions.”
