Subject Gang dong gu, the decrease in the suicide rate in recent 2 years

According to a recent research by the National Statistical Office about the 2016 suicide death rate statistic, the suicide rate of the Gang dong gu per year, has decreased to 104 people which is the subsidence of nearly 8.8% compared to the last year(2015), and 24.6% compared to the 2014. Despite the extreme charter problem, employment hardship, a long term economic depression caused by the large scale re construction business, the Gang dong gu’s suicide rate ha s decreased enough to come in sight among the past 2 years. This is likely to be caused by the effort to propagate the atmosphere of the respecting the life and working in taking care of the self comfort. The Gang dong gu is also working on a system to prevent the potential danger by utilizing the medical ancillaries and checking the depression severity cooperating with the medical institutions. Moreover they support for the low paid class who need those treatments by psychical cure and medicine treatment. Especially, starting from this year, they proceeded the depression severity check for the elders over 65 and helping their mental stableness and comfort. Also, they provide maximum 300000$ for the bereaved family’s mental comfort and precaution of the suicide. Every September, they open a lecture about ‘ life respect’ for the teenagers, elders, and workers to maintain the life respecting culture. The Lee Hae Shick, the head of the Gang Dong gu said “ The effort that we have put on for the decrease of the suicide rate and the propagation of the atmosphere has contributed to the decrease in suicide rate.”, “ We would keep our effort to make the healthy city where every lives are respected”
